BUNDABERG RUM ‘WATERMARK’

RAISING $1M FOR FLOOD RECOVERY

100% POWERED BY AMPLIFY EVENTS

On January 26, 2011, Queensland in Australia was hit by floods so devastating they wiped out 75% of the State - including the Bundaberg Rum Distillery. So two days after the distillery was drained of floodwater, the Bundaberg Distilling Company created Watermark – a rum crafted to mark the point where the floodwaters peaked; to mark the spirit in the towns on the road to recovery. All proceeds from the sales of Watermark went to the flood relief.

BDC then went to the 16 worst hit towns and placed a watermark on the walls of the pubs. We launched Watermark with 16 music festivals in these 16 areas - all at flood effected venues - all kicking off on April 16.

Amplify Events was extremely proud to have planned, produced & executed all 16 simultaneous festivals across Qld & Vic. We negotiated & booked all talent, provided all backline, staging & production (in many areas still without power!) & delivered all 16 x shows without a hitch.

The Watermark campaigned raised over $1 million for flood relief, helped lift the spirits of a nation & earned 2 x Cannes Lions in the process - a Gold PR & a Silver Integrated Cannes Lion for it’s efforts!!
